While Formula 1’s rich history is a large part of why we all love it, time has to pass by for it to be called history. As most of you who may not know, Formula E was announced in 2012 and had its first season in 2014. There hasn’t even been enough time to see a driver win more than one championship.
What’s getting better in Formula E nowadays are the drivers coming from F1 experience such as di Grassi, Kobayashi, Nelson Piquet Jr, Sebastien Buemi, Jean-Eric Vergne and Nick Heidfeld. This season you will see 20 drivers from 10 teams competing in 14 races around the world. With electric cars becoming the trend at the moment, Formula E will only grow in reputation.
And you can bet some of the technology developed for the races will go into our future rides one day. Formula E is not just the future of the sport, but the future of driving itself. The stage is already set now, but will Formula E be able to develop its enthusiasts and become a show of its own?

With two months combined in one issue, we tried our best to bring you what’s exclusive and attractive at the same time. But if I want to speak about what’s been cooking during the first quarter of 2018, I can immediately tell you that the three-pointed star brand ‘Mercedes’ launched three new vehicles without mentioning their derivatives. Starting from the all-new G-Class back in Detroit, the all-new A-Class (which really looks like the new CLS) and the facelifted 2019 CClass. I can surely tell you it’s a pretty busy period of the year at Daimler!

What’s in our February-March issue?
Well although most of you did check the coverage and what’s been launched at NAIAS (Detroit Auto show) on our website or social media, here we are picking the best launches so far.

Our cover story has been dedicated to the Italian automakers, and yes what a coincidence that both vehicles are SUVs! We feature the new 2019 Lamborghini Urus, first Super SUV straight from Santa Aghata de Bolognese and the first drive review of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio from Jebel Jeis, UAE.

We tested many vehicles during those past two months such as the Jaguar XJR575, 2018 Infiniti QX80, Range Rover Velar, Peugeot 3008, 2018 Infiniti Q50 and the facelifted 2018 Mercedes S450. We also featured the first part of our ‘Long Term Test’ on board of the new Honda CRV. We took very exclusive interviews to give you some insights on the automotive industry. We sat with John Edwards from Jaguar Land Rover SVO division, Bruce Robertson, Managing Director of JLR in the MENA, Lennart Mueller-Teut head of Marketing and Communications for Mercedes-Benz in the Middle East and Christian Mastro head of Lamborghini EMEA.
