And that’s finally the end of the 2017-year. Indeed it has been a tough one for the Middle East region. But we are always hoping that the car industry will be back on the right track, although most of the car manufacturers
and dealers were affected by the political crisis, in terms of sales. As for us at ArabWheels, we keep faith in our Arab world and pray for God’s blessings.
As you all know, we are celebrating our 15th anniversary in December 2017. It’s amazing how time passes by so quickly. It feels like yesterday when I was preparing the 10th anniversary issue back in 2012. Anyhow, we always look forward to evolving in terms of content and technology to bring you the best of the best out of the automotive world. We have dedicated ourselves for 15 years to be the voice, and not the echo, of all of our fellow followers. We evolved from the print magazine to a decent digital presence and online.

We will be revamping our website on this special occasion, so keep your eyes on the new and fresh website. During those five years we launched our YouTube Channel and started doing videos in parallel with the App of the magazine that you can download on your mobile or tablet, whether Android or Apple.

What do we have in our special 15th anniversary issue?

We gathered some lovely testimonials from all the car manufacturers in the Middle East, whether from the dealers or the regional offices. But the cool feature is that we have chosen the top 15 test drives we have done during those 15 years. There weren’t any criteria but we chose those 15 tested cars based on the event itself, location and the car. So, basically all these three aspects made us chose it.

Our Cover Story is pretty special in this combined issue of December and January. We tested the most luxurious car on the planet and the most powerful SUV, which is still debatable after the launch of the Lamborghini Urus SSUV earlier this month.

In Dubai we tested some special vehicles that you would surely fall in love with. We tested the Ferrari 812 Superfast, Lexus LC500h, and the Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS.

We also covered the Dubai International Motor Show that took place in November. We compiled the best of the best of what made its regional or premiere debuts.
ArabWheels Awards 2017 results are also included in this carefully prepared issue. You can surf around on the winning vehicles in their respective category. The ‘Car of the Year 2017’ was given to the Range Rover Velar, which is pretty well deserved!
You can always visit our social media platforms from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and watch our videos on YouTube and most importantly, our freshly launched website www.arabwheels.net.
Other than that, I leave you here and I wish you all a Merry Christmas to those who are
celebrating this holy holiday, and a happy and healthy 2018!
